Abstrak

The Indonesian government is targeting extreme poverty of 0% by 2024 as stated in Presidential Instruction Number 4 of 2022. This target is difficult to achieve considering that in 2025, both the Central Government and Regional Governments are still budgeting for extreme poverty programs and activities. This study aims to determine the strategies implemented by the Kulon Progo Regency Government, Special Region of Yogyakarta Province and the Kotawaringin Barat Regency Government, Central Kalimantan Province. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data sources in the form of in-depth interviews and literature studies in the form of news coverage as journalistic works, planning documents in each region and also BPS data and publications of research results. The results of this study indicate that both Regional Governments are committed and have made efforts to accelerate the elimination of extreme poverty in each region through various programs and activities and innovations. These programs and activities still experience obstacles considering that the planning carried out is not yet based on the actual extreme poverty database and the lack of integration of programs and activities at the Regional Government Organization level.
